Holy Communion

Holy Communion (The most important practice)

1 Corinthians 11:24-26 (King James Version)

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

The Lord's Supper is a Sign and a Seal

First of all The Lord's Supper is a SIGN for the unbelievers and the word demonstrating that the believers are now belonging  to the "Family of God" forever and set apart for the work of the Lord.

Ephesians 2:10 (King James Version)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

And The Lord's Supper is our Seal declaring our Faith in Christ as our Saviour, Lord and Master, promising solemn alliance to Him as our supreme King, promising a life of obedience to His divine commandments.
And belonging to the family of God as it is our seal and we are sealed in.
Together we celebrate our union with Christ. And by participating in Holy Communion we pledge our belonging union to Him and we are to others a witness of our membership of the family of God.

Ephesians 1:13,14 (King James Version)

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

As the Holy Spirit is our Seal from God that we are his we also demonstrate our enheritance in the receiving of Holy Communion which is our seal to him.

Romans 8:17 (King James Version)

17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

John 6:54 (King James Version)

54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
